Entropy Bar
Entropy Bar on Hinckley Road open in March 2000. Previously a butcher's shop, it was well known in the area and a bit of a landmark, so when renovations began we decided to keep the old 'H North' sign above the window as a salute to its heritage. In June 2001 we expanded into the next door shop. It was whilst stripping away the generic signage above this shop that we discovered another bit of history. This shop had originally been a Worthington's grocers - once famous in Leicester as the first self-service chain of shops.
Entropy has always been renowned for its food. In Febuary 2003, Entropy Bar, Hinckley Road won 'Best pub/bar meal in Leicestershire' at the Leicestershire tourism awards and has since been a finalist in Heart of England awards 2004 and the Observer food Monthly Food Awards 2005. At Entropy we pride ourselves on serving only the best quality food and drinks with the highest standards of care.
